Ir. Dr. Chua Kein Huat has been actively engaged in conducting over 250 training sessions and workshops across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea in the past 15 years. Recognized for his expertise, he is an accredited trainer by the HRDC and holds certifications as Registered Energy Auditor (REA) and Registered Energy Manager Type 2 with practicing certificate (REM T2) conferred by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) since 2016.

 

Presently, Ir. Dr. Chua serves as an Associate Professor at the esteemed Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering, UTAR. His research endeavors primarily revolve around crucial domains such as carbon accounting, energy management, energy audit, and green technology.

 

Ir. Dr. Chua offers consultancy services of energy management and energy auditing to assist organizations in
improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. Ir. Dr. Chua was appointed as an Energy Adviser by Tan Chong Motors Assemblies Sdn. Bhd., providing invaluable professional guidance to enhance their plant’s energy
efficiency. Ir. Dr. Chua was also appointed as a consultant by JMB Setiawalk to provide them advice in green
technology solutions. He was appointed as principal auditor to conduct energy audit for 14 projects which covers commercial and industrial sectors.

 

Ir. Dr. Chua has attended Certified Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP) training organized by The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) (Hong Kong Chapter). Currently, he is actively promoting the carbon accounting and auditing via
conducting training courses and organizing events. He also offers consultancy services for carbon accounting and auditing to local organizations.

 

Ir. Dr. Chua has won the Energy Professional Development Award for AEE’s 2024 Regional Awards – Asia Pacific Rim Region. The Association of Energy Engineers is a nonprofit professional society with over 18,000 members in more than 100 countries. Being honored with this award (Asia Pacific Rim Region) is a significant professional milestone and provides an exceptional opportunity for both personal and professional growth.
